SUMMARY:
Individual must be able to work 12-hour shifts, have good basic math skills, and some type of mechanical understanding of production machinery. A proven attendance record is a must.
DUTIES:
- Must be able to lift 75 lbs.
Operate forklifts to move materials. - Assure proper materials reach correct destinations.
- Remove finished rolls from winder, wrap, tag, and skid.
- Assist Technicians in operation of the extrusion line.
- Complete quality records and production paperwork.
- Troubleshoot equipment as required.
- Other duties as assigned.

SUMMARY:

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepares machine for production by checking operating parameters and equipment for safety
- Makes certain all materials for production are available
- Loads parts into machines
- Removes parts from machines after cycle is complete
- Inspects parts
- Repairs defective parts
- Leads operators on a complete production line
- Cleans equipment
- Completes part release orders
- Changes molds when necessary
- May train entry-level operator
- Assists in packaging for shipment
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3+ years related experience in machine operating
- Must be able to work under minimum supervision
- Conversion of weights and measures
- Must have comprehension of written and verbal communication skills
- Must have Problem solving skills
- Must have basic mathematical skills (addition/subtraction, multiplication/division)
EXPERIENCE:

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensures all aspects of the maintenance process are properly executed as provided and instructed by the department supervisor for Thermoforming, Extrusion and Auxiliary equipment. Ensures that the appropriate equipment is in proper working order and is maintained during daily production and thereafter.
Executes preventive maintenance activities and scheduled items in a timely manner:
- Performs installation, maintenance, and repairs on manufacturing equipment
- Locates and diagnoses failures, replaces defective components, and performs basic troubleshooting using drawings, diagrams, sketches, specifications, prints, manuals, and verbal and/or written instruction
- Maintains appropriate maintenance and repair logs.
- Proactively engage with production team to monitor and maintain all equipment
- Respond to reactive maintenance and equipment issues in a timely manner
- Analyze conditions, troubleshoot failures, perform equipment repairs using standard procedure
- Perform problem solving and resolution of machine issues or reliability improvements
- Execute corrective, predictive and preventative maintenance procedures to ensure a high level of machine utilization (and low scrap level
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the Maintenance shop
- Ensure the health and safety of personnel and care of the property, equipment, and product under their control
- Partner with other technicians on shift and cross shifts to continually complete objectives
- Perform other duties and tasks as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Graduate or equivalent (GED).
- Associates degree with a Technical focus and 3 years of related experience in general industry or 5 years of related experience in general industry preferred
- Must understand electrical, mechanical, fluid power and control systems. Can analyze problems and perform repairs.
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts, nights, weekends
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
EXPERIENCE:
- Maintenance technician: 4 years (Preferred)
- Electrical/Mechanical: 4 years (Preferred)
